I’ve been there. And I tried every traditional career planning tool or method that I could find. And they helped me get some great jobs with great companies – from Bank of America to a Silicon Valley technology company where our CEO was Entrepreneur of the Year. And my work was exciting and I got great results for my companies.
But inevitably, I’d be at home at the end of the year, writing yet another New Year’s Resolution to find work that was meaningful and that used all of my talents. And feeling stuck…
I’m Allan Bacon, and my mission is to get you moving now on your purpose in life. In addition to my own experience, I have interviewed hundreds of real people about their career paths. These are people who have found their way to something they love. Work that they feel like they are meant to do.
Do you know what I learned by trial-and-error?
Traditional career methods will not help you find your calling. They will help you find the logical, obvious next step for you. They will help you network, interview and find opportunities. They may land you a better job.
But they cannot help you discover your unique purpose.
The purpose that will fire you up and tap into the energy that comes from doing what you were born to do.
And I’ve found out that it is really easy when you take advantage of human nature and tap into your “inner kid”.
